editor's note [f26] [8]

Dear Readers,

Tonight, on this POST-Halloween Wednesday night, the three of us find ourselves POSTed in Amber’s Young O 2 dorm, listening to unimportant music, writing this note POSThaste. For the first time in our four years (three for James) of being in post-, we’re working on Google Docs instead of Adobe InDesign. We’re feeling a little like imPOSTers right now because we don’t usually write words, but before we graduate, we felt it was important to finally write our own. Our work is usually done behind the scenes. (Did you notice? We recently added “designed by” to the byline). It’s during these delirious, famished (@Josh and @Emma) late-night hours after the other editors leave that we break baguettes.

The change was imPOSTceptible for the three of us; sometime between being scared to ask Joe Maffa (who is Joe Maffa?) to pass the snacks to now being the designated clean-up crew, 9 p.m. production night times became less of an obligation and more of a “wanna hang out…socially?” (Even if our hang outs keep getting POSTponed because Amber’s schedule keeps changing… bruh)

Here are our POST-thoughts from this week’s writers…in POST-it notes of course:

In Feature, Fiona reminisces on the benefits of getting lost.

In Narrative, Sona reappraises a place from her past, and Emma grapples with a birthday that spans the globe.

In A&C, Ann Gray muses on how Netflix rom-com love triangles capture her attention, and Sara wrestles with the layers of You Can See Everything and how Holmes manages to capture the audience’s empathy.

In Lifestyle, Reece reflects on staying sober in college and fitting in (or not), while Crystal shares about her deeply heartfelt late-night conversations in each of her dorms, knowing that there are multitudes happening across dorm rooms at Brown. Our very own was happening on the top floor of 88 Benevolent Street.

In post-pourri, Alayna will tell you just how post- you are.

In Crossword, enjoy some POST-Halloween fun. See if you can beat our PR for the crossword! Between the seven of us on the design team, we finished a crossword in seventeen seconds three issues ago.

We’re eagerly anticipating entering the POST-production stage to lay out this very editor’s note.

POSTmortemly as post-’s POSTer children sitting on a fencePOST in the comPOST bin,

P.S. Shoutout DaFont.com for the hyperspecific Top 10 font choices.
P.P.S. Shoutout Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Pretzels.
P.P.P.S. This is one of the longer editor’s notes; we might use -50 tracking. Don’t tell anyone if you read this far down.
P.(the POST important of all)S. We’d probably be very lonely were it not for post-.
