Dear Readers,
You might be asking, why is the Family Weekend issue western-themed? To which I would say, what’s more community-oriented than cowboys, riding together, living together, and watching the sun set over the prairies together? I would also say, we liked the way it looked.
Fall is truly upon us now. The colors are changing and the wind is blowing, so maybe I find myself craving a sunny western warmth. Maybe I want the simple nostalgia of a life on the land—it seems preferable to my midterms.
But if I can’t have that, I am welcoming Family Weekend, to see those I care about and show them around the campus that has grown to mean so much to me.
This issue of post- is eclectic in its offerings. For Feature, Coco regales us with the tale of an eye infection. In Narrative, Samaira encounters feelings déjà vu across campus and Danielle recalls a moment from her childhood. For A&C, Elaine tries to live in the moment of a concert and Madi watches Pitch Perfect with her sisters. Ina spills the dining hall tea and Yana maps the campus in Lifestyle. Finally, we close out this issue with a crossword from Ronan and a comic from Ina.
Fellow students, I hope you can find yourself in these pages. Families, I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into life at Brown University. Read through this issue of post- together, preferably on horseback.
Yeehaw,
