University Chancellor Brian Moynihan ’81 P’14 P’19 has been elected for a second three-year term in his role leading the Brown Corporation, the University’s highest governing body, according to a Friday Today@Brown message from President Christina Paxson P’19 P’MD’20.
Moynihan is the Chair and CEO of Bank of America, and has been a member of the Brown Corporation since 2010. He is currently a co-chair of the Presidential Selection Committee of the Corporation following the announcement of Paxson’s departure from the role of University president.
The Corporation is comprised of 54 members. Moynihan has served as the University’s 22nd chancellor since 2024, and his new term will begin July 1, 2027, according to the message. Corporation officers can serve up to three three-year terms.
“I have been grateful for the opportunity to work with Brian throughout his time on the Corporation, and his leadership as chancellor will extend as the Brown community selects and welcomes its next president in the months and years ahead,” Paxson wrote.
